It all started with a coffee
20 years of Caffenation. It’s more than half of my adult life that I’ve been trying to change the coffee world and not without succes. Our coffees are shipped all over Europe - our capsules even world wide - and sold at specialized shops. Our own bars are more popular than I could ever imagine them to be and our crowd is still growing daily.
So bit by bit it feels time for my companion Lieke and the new generation at Caffenation to take over. Of course I’m still around, but not all the time. And that’s for good reason. The last decade my partner Isabel and me have been spending more and more time in Portugal, mainly in our house in the hilly part of rural Algarve, nearby Sao Bras de Alportel.
Walk it off
As I’ve always been a runner, my trips in the fields, woods and beaches nearby the house were highly rewarding and the perfect method to charge my batteries, as well being the ideal counterpart for my busy life in Antwerp and Caffenation.
Now my dream is to share the love for coffee and the rugged trails by organizing holidays.

At Casa Labirinto we have three double rooms, with private bathroom, available for open minded people who are interested in walking, coffee or both, and like to enjoy a relaxing and inspiring week with me. I’ll love to meet you soon, for a shared passion, in the Algarve!
